The Celtics have two picks in the first round of this June's NBA Draft, which is being billed as the deepest draft in years. That is good news for Boston, which isn't likely to have a pick in the top 14 selections. In addition to their own pick, the Celtics have the L.A. Clippers choice, which should fall in the mid-20s if the Clippers stay alive in the Pacific Division race.
The Celtics will have to get creative with their selections and do their homework on some of the non-blue chip players. That could mean rolling the dice on an undersized guard, an unproven big man or reuniting a father and son.
