American Soccer Fan Runs Onto Field, Takes Selfies With Kaka, Sergio Ramos (Video)

One day, this American soccer fan will tell his friends about the time he met two international soccer stars. Inevitably, they’ll say “Pics or it didn’t happen.” Then he’ll show them this.

The fan was one of the 54,184 who attended an exhibition game between Spanish soccer club Real Madrid and Italy’s Inter Milan at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Mo., on Saturday. While he seemed to be enjoying himself as much as anyone else, for some reason he chose to participate during the second half. The fan ran onto the field, hugged two Real Madrid players and videotaped the whole thing.

He hopped over a rail, ran past Inter Milan’s players and headed straight for Real Madrid’s. When he encountered Kaka, the 2007 FIFA World Player of the Year, he asked the $1 million question.

“Hey, Kaka, what’s up? Can I get a selfie?”

After the Brazilian playmaker duly obliged, the fan found World and European champion Sergio Ramos and got the same results.

When security finally arrived, the crowd cheered and the fan was taken away in handcuffs, according to Deadspin. By then, the fan had already gotten what he wanted — and deserved.
