Hunter Pence Hits 476-Foot Home Run, Longest of 2013 Season (Video)

Mike Napoli hit a baseball very, very far Tuesday night, but it paled in comparison up against the ball hit by Giants outfielder Hunter Pence.

Pence hit the farthest home run of the 2013 season Tuesday night, and he did it (of course) at Coors Field in Colorado. The outfielder lifted off for a 476-foot blast to left field in baseball’s friendliest hitters’ park, a homer that cleared the left field seats.

According to ESPN’s Home Run Tracker, the dinger just beats out the previous longest home runs of the season. Mark Trumbo and Anthony Rizzo have both hit 475-foot blasts. Napoli, whose majestic shot against Baltimore on Tuesday night went 432 feet, also hit a ball 472 feet in May.
