It’s no secret that Koji Uehara is committed to the high-five — just ask Shane Victorino.

Uehara burst on the scene in Boston last season after stints with the Baltimore Orioles and Texas Rangers, and the closer quickly became a clubhouse and household favorite. When he wasn’t being a late-innings, strike-throwing machine for the Red Sox, Uehara was getting excited and pumping up his teammates in the dugout.

His penchant for high-fives endeared Uehara to many, and after the Sox’ championship season, Uehara shared the joy of the high-five with Red Sox fans around the city of Boston.
