Ole Miss advanced to the semifinals of the College World Series on Thursday, and they had two men to thank for it.
It wasn’t designated hitter Will Allen, who went 3-for-5 with three RBIs out of the cleanup spot and drove in the eventual game-winning run in the Rebels’ 6-4 win over TCU, nor was it first baseman Sikes Orvis, who chipped in three hits and two RBIs of his own.
Nope, it was these guys:

That’s freshmen Evan Anderson (No. 55) and Brantley Bell, who ditched the typical rally caps and went full ninja turtle with the game tied at 4-4 in the top of the seventh inning.
The baseball gods must have appreciated their creativity. Auston Bousfield and Austin Anderson reached base on a hit-by-pitch and a single, respectively, to open the seventh, and Allen followed with another base hit to bring home Bousfield with the go-ahead run.
Ole Miss takes on Virginia on Friday.
