Soccer ‘Fans’ Rave About Landon Donovan’s World Cup Showing On Kimmel (Video)

It would be difficult to describe Landon Donovan’s performance in the 2014 FIFA World Cup seeing as he never played a single game in Brazil, but don’t tell that to these soccer “fans.”

Donovan was famously cut from the United States team before the World Cup even began, and while that was huge news, it apparently didn’t reach everyone in the nation. Fortunately for our entertainment, Jimmy Kimmel took to the streets of Los Angeles to talk with the bandwagon fans about Donovan’s nonexistent play during the tournament.

Not only do all of the self-professed fans think Donovan actually played in the World Cup in Kimmel’s latest edition of “Lie Witness News,” but one man applauds his toughness for playing through a broken nose (sorry, Clint Dempsey), while another guy said he was brought to tears by the tricycle kick Donovan pulled off against Saskatchewan.

That Saskatchewan team is always so solid.

We’ll see you in another four years, soccer fans.
