Baltimore isn’t waiting long to rid itself of Ray Rice.

The Ravens running back became an ex-Ravens running back Monday when he was cut by the team and suspended indefinitely by the NFL. The punishment came down shortly after video of Rice knocking out his then-fiancée surfaced on TMZ.

With that video and the fact Rice no longer is a Raven, fans of the team are starting to change their tune. The same fans who cheered Rice a few short weeks ago at training camp now are trying to separate themselves from the running back.

One Baltimore pizza shop is helping fans do that in a unique way. Hersh’s Pizza and Drinks is offering to trade free pizza for fans’ Rice jerseys.

But what will Hersh’s do with the jerseys? As one Facebook commenter pointed out, “Good deal for the person trading the jersey, but I feel like you might be losing out, trading pizza for trash.”

Well, Hersh’s already is trying to find an answer for that, too.

Thumbs up to Hersh’s for pledging donations to House Of Ruth Maryland, which is “one of the nation’s leading intimate partner violence centers helping thousands of women and their children find the safety and security that so many of us take for granted.”

Check out some shots from Hersh’s giveaway below.
