It appears Peyton Manning wasn’t the only one who planned a lame celebration for his latest milestone.

Manning broke the all-time touchdown passes record Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers, and he celebrated with a pre-orchestrated game of keep-away. The Broncos were ready for the record-breaking play, too, as they quickly got the party started.

Just like any other professional sports team, the party included an opportunity to make some money. That’s why the Broncos began selling commemorative T-shirts at just about the time Demaryius Thomas dragged his feet through the end zone.

Taking a page out of the Yankees’ Derek Jeter “Re2pect” campaign, the Broncos unveiled the Manning “H18tory” memorabilia.

Maybe the revenue generated off the “H18tory” gear will make up for the potential money lost when Manning and the Broncos were blown out in the Super Bowl by the Seattle Seahawks last season.
