Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak isn’t the only player from the team’s 2014 draft class who has impressed this season.
University of Denver forward Danton Heinen — Boston’s fourth-round pick (116th overall) in the 2014 NHL draft — was a unanimous selection to the National Collegiate Hockey Conference all-rookie team.
The NCHC announced the selections Wednesday. Heinen led all players named to the All-Rookie team with 42 votes.

Heinen tallied 42 points (14 goals, 28 assists) in 34 games for Denver. He also led all conference rookies with 26 points in 24 conference games.
The only freshman with more points than Heinen this season was Boston University forward Jack Eichel, who likely will be selected second overall in the 2015 draft.
