Sometimes you just have to sit back and enjoy a good, hard, clean hockey hit.

Los Angeles Kings captain Dustin Brown treated the hockey world to one of the nicest hockey hits you’ll ever see Wednesday night against the Anaheim Ducks.

Halfway through the first period, Brown tried to set the tone against the Kings’ rivals when he caught Ducks forward Corey Perry coming through the neutral zone. It’s unclear whether Perry saw Brown coming, but Perry was just able to get a pass off before Brown steamrolled him at the red line.

The big hit didn’t sit well with Perry’s teammates, and Brown immediately was called on to answer for himself.

Once all the penalties were sorted out, the Kings were given a power play. They scored on the man advantage, meaning Brown’s hit kind of sort of led to a goal.

Unfortunately for he and the Kings, the Ducks would win the game in overtime.
