Pedro Martinez was one of the most dominant pitchers during an era full of some pretty daunting lineups. But just how good was he?

The Boston Globe will show you.

While it seems as though everyone in Boston is reliving Martinez’s greatness before the Red Sox retire his number Tuesday, the Globe’s Pete Abraham and Luke Knox made some pretty cool graphics showing off, among other things, Martinez’s pitching arsenal and its absolute dominance. There are GIFs showing the trajectory of his pitches, as well a graph showing his insane strikeout statistics.

Here’s an example of the graphics, in the form a GIF of Martinez’s devastating changeup.
