Do you want to participate in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge with a member of the Boston Red Sox?

Well, you’re in luck.

The Red Sox kicked off an auction Monday in which fans can bid on the opportunity to have one of seven players pour ice on them Aug. 31 on the field at Fenway Park. The auction concludes the 2015 Ice Bucket Challenge to benefit amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) research.

Winners also will receive the spring training jerseys that Red Sox players wore March 3 to honor Pete Frates (a former Boston College baseball star and a pioneer of the Ice Bucket Challenge) and two tickets to Boston’s game Aug. 31 against the New York Yankees.

“We’re honored to be associated with the Frates family and to have the opportunity to help bring attention to this devastating disease,” Adam Grossman, Red Sox SVP of marketing and brand development, said, according to a press release. “What Pete and Pat (Quinn) have accomplished through the Ice Bucket Challenge initiative — raising global awareness and much needed funds to support critical research — is nothing short of amazing and we’re proud to be part of this movement.”

David Ortiz, Dustin Pedroia, Hanley Ramirez, Pablo Sandoval, Xander Bogaerts, Mookie Betts and Brock Holt all are expected to participate.
