BOSTON — Bruins forward Zac Rinaldo suited upĀ against his former Philadelphia Flyers teammates Wednesday night at TD Garden and he didn’t play more than one period.

Rinaldo was ejected at the 20:00 mark, or the end of the first period, for a hit on Flyers center Sean Couturier along the boards in the Philly zone.

Couturier laid on the ice for a little bit before being helped off the ice and into the locker room.

Rinaldo received a 5-minute major penalty for charging and a game misconduct. Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara (slashing) and Flyers center Claude Giroux (unsportsmanlike conduct) were given matching minors for their actions after the play.
