A propensity for emphatic celebrations must run in the Subban family.

After putting the finishing touches on a dazzling performance Sunday afternoon, Providence Bruins goaltender Malcolm Subban skated off the ice in style, dropping to one knee and whipping his stick through the air before being mobbed by his teammates.

The 22-year-old Bruins prospect had plenty of reason to be pumped up. He stopped 41 of a possible 42 shots to power the Baby B’s to a 2-1 shootout win over the Springfield Falcons.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Subban, who is 9-3-1 over his last 13 starts after going 1-5-2 to begin the season.

As for the celebration, the young goalie seemed to take some cues from his big brother, Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban.
