Glenn Gronkowski ‘Not As Much Fun’ As Rob But Has Met With Patriots Twice

Glenn Gronkowski has almost impossible standards to live up to as Rob Gronkowski’s brother.

“He’s crazy, obviously,” Glenn told the media at the NFL Scouting Combine on Thursday, via Kevin Duffy of MassLive.com. “He loves to have fun. But, yeah, I’m probably not as much fun as him. That’s kind of hard to be. It definitely comes with the family, though.”

Glenn, who wasn’t aboard the Gronk cruise last week, isn’t just realistic about his ability to party but also his skills on the field in comparison to his famous New England Patriots tight end brother. The Kansas State fullback said he expects to be anywhere from a fifth-round draft pick to an undrafted free agent. Rob was drafted 42nd overall by the Patriots in 2010.

Glenn, who’s the youngest Gronkowski brother, told the media he met with the Patriots on Wednesday. He also met with them at the Senior Bowl in January. He’s the kind of versatile chess piece the Patriots have found success with in the past.

“I think I can be very versatile, very dynamic,” Glenn said. “If you watched the Senior Bowl, that’s basically what I can do. As I said earlier, played H-back, played fullback, played tight end, played slot receiver, ran routes, caught some balls, blocked, all that stuff. … Obviously I didn’t do too much of that in college. I was mainly a blocker in college, mainly lined up in the backfield at fullback. But I can definitely contribute in a lot of ways.”

Glenn caught 15 passes for 369 yards with five touchdowns in three seasons at Kansas State. He also had 16 rushing attempts for 51 yards with a score. He had six career receptions of over 20 yards and averaged 24.6 yards per catch.
