Barcelona isn’t exactly the team you want to face when you’re trying to bounce back from a loss, but those are the cards Villarreal was dealt.
The two Spanish clubs face off Sunday at 11 a.m. ET at El Madrigal, and Villarreal is searching for a win after falling to Sevilla 4-2 in its last La Liga matchup. And not only did Barca crush Getafe CF 6-0 in its last league game, but it also hasn’t lost on Villarreal’s home turf since 2007.
Barca also is looking to extend a 38-game unbeaten streak.
