Friday is April Fools’ Day, but the Boston Celtics’ opponent is no joke.
Already reeling from back-to-back losses, the Celtics face the ultimate test Friday night in the Golden State Warriors, who own the NBA’s best record at 68-7. Stephen Curry and Co. are a perfect 36-0 at Oracle Arena this season and need to win just five of their remaining seven games to secure the best regular-season record in NBA history.
The Celtics, who took Golden State to double overtime back in December, can play the role of spoiler, but they’ll have to do so without Jae Crowder, who will sit out Friday to rest his right ankle.
Friday’s game is being nationally televised on ESPN and will be available on live stream via the WatchESPN app.
