The Toronto Blue Jays opened up a five-run lead over the Boston Red Sox on Friday night when reigning American League MVP Josh Donaldson hit a grand slam in the fourth inning at Rogers Centre.
That lead didn’t last long, though, because Red Sox left fielder Brock Holt belted a grand slam of his own in the sixth inning that trimmed Toronto’s advantage to one run.

The homer was Holt’s second of the season, which matches his total from 2015.
There’s also this fun fact:
Brock Holt is the first opponent to hit a Grand Slam in a #BlueJays Home Opener since another #RedSox player, Jack Clark on April 8, 1991
