Danny Amendola will be sticking around with the New England Patriots.

The wide receiver restructured his contract to stay with the Patriots, a source told FOX Sports’ Mike Garafolo on Friday. This is the second consecutive season Amendola has reworked his contract to remain in New England.

Amendola’s new deal is worth $7.35 million over two years with $750,000 in roster bonuses and catch incentives, according to Garafolo. Amendola’s salary-cap hit was going to be $6.8 million in 2016 and $7.8 million in 2017, as he was set to be the Patriots’ highest-paid receiver in those two seasons.

“It’s an honor to play for this franchise and with this group of guys,” Amendola told Garafolo. “We have one goal — to win another championship, and that’s all we care about.”

Amendola caught 65 passes for 648 yards with three touchdowns in 14 games and seven starts in 2015. He has 146 catches for 1,481 yards with six touchdowns in three seasons and 42 games with the Patriots.

The Patriots added receivers Chris Hogan and Nate Washington in free agency this offseason, then drafted wideouts Malcolm Mitchell and Devin Lucien last week.

The Patriots had $4,974,794 in cap space before Amendola restructured his contract, according to PatsCap.com.
