Charles Barkley Trades In Golf Club For Baseball Bat; Results Still Terrible

Charles Barkley was a very good basketball player. But the Basketball Hall of Famer and “NBA on TNT” analyst has taken to trying other athletic pursuits in his retirement, and the results haven’t been pretty.

Barkley, whose golf swing is the stuff of nightmares, visited Citizens Bank Park on Monday to take batting practice with the visiting Chicago Cubs ahead of their game against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Turns out his baseball swing isn’t much better.

To Sir Charles’ credit, he did manage to poke a grounder up the middle, but this isn’t exactly a swing designed to put balls over the fence:

It’s a shame TNT isn’t broadcasting any of this year’s NBA Finals games, because we only can imagine the ribbing Barkley would endure from his colleagues after this one.
