Tom Brady has seen some bizarre forms of criticism over the years. But we doubt he’s seen anything like this.
Brady and the New England Patriots dismantled the Buffalo Bills at New Era Field on Sunday, but the win wasn’t without incident — in the third quarter, a fan in the stands launched what turned out to be a sex toy onto the field near the Bills’ end zone as Patriots wideout Chris Hogan reached toward the goal line.
The bizarre moment prompted further investigation: Why would someone throw a sex toy onto the field, and who was it intended for?
We may have our answer (to the second question, at least): Deadspin obtained a close-up shot of the marital aid, which revealed a message written in black Sharpie that read “Brady’s Dildo.” (You can see the photo here, but be warned: It’s obviously NSFW.)
Yup, it looks like the phallic object was meant for none other than TB12.
Brady laughed off the incident Monday, admitting he saw the sex toy before quipping, “Only in Buffalo.” It’s unclear if the Patriots QB knew it was intended for him, but if that’s the case, it certainly didn’t rattle him. Brady threw for 315 yards and four touchdowns in New England’s 41-25 win.
