You can’t win them all, even if you are one of the best athletes on the planet.
Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James made a friendly bet with friend and Chicago Bulls guard Dwyane Wade before the 2016 World Series between the Indians and Cubs, and it appeared James was headed for a win when the Tribe went up 3-1 in the series. But, much like the Golden State Warriors in the 2016 NBA Finals against the Cavs, the Indians blew the lead and the Cubs won their first Fall Classic since 1908.
That meant James would have to show up to a game wearing Cubs gear from head to toe, and he followed through on the bet Friday when the Cavs faced Wade’s Bulls in Chicago.

The Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year is a man of his word, although he dished out some trash talk in a reply to the UNINTERRUPTED tweet.
SMDH!! 😬😬😬😬. LOL. A bet is a bet. The hell with you @DwyaneWade https://t.co/MqpbjuZADn
