Troll Changes Danny Amendola’s Wikipedia Page After Reported Dolphins Move

Someone is bitter about Danny Amendola’s imminent departure from the New England Patriots.

A Wikipedia user made a funny change to the former Patriots wide receiver’s page just minutes after reports of his decision to join the Miami Dolphins as a free agent emerged in the media, according to SB Nation. Amendola and Miami reportedly agreed to contract terms during the NFL’s two-day negotiating window, which precedes the start of the new league year.

Here’s the shade the Wikipedia user threw on Amendola’s page in response.

“As a free agent during the league tampering period in 2018, he joined the Miami Dolphins,” his new page read. “Since Miami is a terrible team, (NFL commissioner) Roger Goodell decided against punishing the Dolphins for tampering.”

Another user removed the update from Amendola’s page by Wednesday morning, but the joke already spread around the internet.

The Wikipedia change contrasts with the warm farewell messages Tom Brady, Julian Edelman and Duron Harmon sent Amendola via social media.

Such is life in the 2018 sports world.
