One of the most popular projected draft picks for the New England Patriots reportedly is visiting Gillette Stadium on Monday.
The Patriots are hosting former UCLA offensive tackle Kolton Miller for a top-30 visit ahead of the 2018 NFL Draft, Ben Volin of The Boston Globe reported Monday morning.
Miller, one of this year’s top tackle prospects, has been linked to the Patriots throughout the pre-draft process, with many speculating he could be an option for New England at pick No. 31 in the first round.

Miller had the longest broad jump for an O-lineman since at least 2003 with a leap of 10 feet, 1 inch and also ran an impressive 4.91-second 40. At 6-foot-9, 310 pounds, he’s been compared to Nate Solder and could be an option for the Patriots at No. 31 if Solder leaves in free agency.Â
Solder did indeed leave in free agency, leaving the Patriots with a massive void at left tackle. Re-signing LaAdrian Waddle helped shore up the position a bit, and Tony Garcia could contribute this season after missing his rookie year with an illness, but it still would not be surprising to see the Patriots use a first-round selection on a potential long-term successor to Solder.
New England reportedly hosted another top tackle, Texas’ Connor Williams, for a visit last week. Williams also could be an option at No. 31.
