After spending 50 days in the state of Florida, the Boston Red Sox returned home to less than balmy temperatures.

The Red Sox are hosting the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday, with the temperature at first pitch recorded at 39 degrees. It was 28 degrees if you factor in the wind chill.

While that might not seem cold by Boston standards, it’s certainly a drastic change compared to the sunshine and warmth of Florida.

So how are the Red Sox players preparing for April in Boston?

NESN’s Guerin Austin asked members of the Red Sox about their approach to playing in sub 40 temperatures.

Check out the “Red Sox Gameday Live” video above, presented by Digital Federal Credit Union, to hear their answers.
