Aaron Hernandez is heading to prison, and his own defense team might be to blame.

After handing down a guilty verdict Wednesday in Bristol County Superior Court, jurors in the Hernandez murder trial said some of the former New England Patriots tight end’s own attorneys made some curious moves that ultimately helped the jury come to its decision. Whatever the team’s strategy was, it clearly backfired.
