Here’s a word of warning to any and all baseballs near the Boston Red Sox: hide.
The Red Sox offense is clicking on all cylinders right now, and that’s a big reason Boston is among Major League Baseball’s best teams through the first month and a half of the season.
The Sox open a four-game weekend series with the Houston Astros on Thursday night, and Boston comes in riding a four-game winning streak on the heels of obliterating the Oakland Athletics in a three-game series. The Red Sox outscored the A’s 40-15 over the three games, and the Boston offense sits at or near the top of just about every single offensive category in baseball.
But is it sustainable?
NESN.com’s Mike Cole and Ricky Doyle tackled that question in a Facebook Live chat at Jordan’s Furniture in Reading, Mass. See their thoughts on that and more below, including a special visit from Jordan’s president and CEO Eliot Tatelman.
