Cameroon defensive midfielder Alex Song, one of his team’s best players, was given a red card and ejected from Wednesday’s 2014 World Cup group stage game against Croatia for landing a vicious elbow to the back of Mario Mandzukic.

Song was shown a straight red card and put his team down to 10 men when it was already trailing 1-0 late in the first half.
