Robin Van Persie Thinks He Can 'Score Every Time' He PlaysArsenal captain Robin Van Persie is in the goal scoring form of his life. Saturday's hat-trick puts him atop the leading scorers' list in the English Premier League and he thinks he can keep up this torrid pace, according to the Daily Mirror.

"I feel I can score every time I go out on to the pitch," Van Persie said. "For me it's just the best feeling to have. It doesn't really matter against who we play, we always create chances so that means I always have a go. Then it's up to me to score."

Saturday's goal haul –- he bagged three in Arsenal's 5-3 win over Chelsea -– gives him 10 league goals in 10 games this season.

The prolific Dutchman scored against Birmingham on New Year's Day and netted 29 in 28 English Premier League games in 2011. He has scored 33 in 37 games this year.

Van Persie has been a key player at Arsenal since joining the club in 2004 but injuries have robbed him of significant parts of each of his first seven seasons with the Gunners. His impressive run this year coincides with an uncharacteristic spell of good health.

The 28-year-old's contract expires after next season. Arsenal is keen to tie him to a long-term deal, but he prefers to focus on leading the club on the field rather than negotiate a new deal during the season.
