Send Marcus Kwesi O'Mard Questions for This Week's Soccer MailbagWe're always told "there's no place like home." That seemed to be the case in much of the soccer world last week.

Liverpool ended its four-game run of draws at Anfield with a deserved win over the Queens Park Rangers on Saturday. Arsenal hosted club legends, unveiled three statues and downed Everton as part of celebrations marking its 125th year in existence. Manchester United buried the toothless Wolves at Old Trafford. Even Chelsea showed it has some fight by ending Manchester City's unbeaten run at Stamford Bridge.

Mexico's Apertura season concluded with Tigres winning the championship (pictured) and ending a 29-year title drought by downing Santos Laguna.

It seems like Real Madrid was the most notable club to reject home comforts. It threw away an early lead in Saturday's loss to eternal rivals Barcelona.

December always brings the transfer market to the forefront of the news and rumors are starting to surface ahead of the Jan. 1 opening of the window. David Beckham and Carlos Tevez are just two headline makers that look to be on the move.
