Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain Soaks Up Knowledge From Thierry Henry and Robin van PersieAlex Oxlaide-Chamberlain has emerged as one as one of soccer's hottest prospects in recent weeks, but the teenage winger just wants to keep learning and improving. Arsenal.com reports he vows to do so under the watchful eye of two Arsenal legendsThierry Henry and Robin van Persie — and anyone else that wants to help him.

"I'm one of the least experienced players in the squad so any player who gives me a comment always helps me, whether it is positive or constructive criticism," Oxlaide-Chamberlain said.

"I listen to everybody. People like Thierry and Robin who score goals and are attacking players like myself, you can always learn a lot from them. That's all I do. I listen and learn," he added.

Oxlaide-Chamberlain joined Arsenal last summer from Southampton FC. He only had one full season under his belt when the Gunners spent £10 million ($15.9 million) to bring him to North London.

His playing time was sporadic in his first five months at Arsenal, appearing primarily in reserve and Carling Cup games. But he spent much of that time in the presence of one of the world's hottest strikers (van Persie) and the club's all-time leading scorer (Henry). Their influence will undoubtedly affect his development, but his talent and potential made headlines last weekend.

The 18-year-old winger scored his first two Premier League goals on Saturday, as Arsenal rampaged to 7-1 victory over Blackburn Rovers. It was only on Jan. 22 that Oxlaide-Chamberlain made his first league start, and his dynamic displays have Gunners fans salivating at the thought of the player he could one day become. But the player vows to keep his feet planted firmly on the ground.

"I have belief in myself and in my own ability," Oxlaide-Chamberlain said. "I just know that I have to keep working hard and learn off the boys, and then hopefully the rest will come. At the moment it's going quite well for me so I'm just going to keep working hard."
