The Patriots have had their ups and downs in the first half of the 2012 season, and many fans and experts are wondering if this team has what it takes to make it to the Super Bowl and snap their two-game skid on the football world’s biggest stage.

As they head into the second half of the season, the Pats are preparing for big matchups against some stiff competition, including both the Texans and 49ers — arguably the best two teams in the NFL. While the 49ers and Texans are found ranked No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, on many power rankings, the Patriots are found floating between No. 2 and No. 8, as seen below.
