Oh well for leaving it all on the court.
While it’s no secret that Kevin Garnett and Carmelo Anthony almost tangled outside the Celtics’ team bus Monday night after their on-court battle, just how close they got to slugging it out is now available on video.
TMZ has come through in the clutch, posting a video that shows the shouting match between Anthony and Garnett. While much of the audio is fuzzy, the bleep tool had to be employed, and TMZ reports that it sounds like slurs were exchanged.
Garnett and Anthony went at each other and both received technical fouls in Monday night’s game, after which Anthony went to the Celtics’ locker room, and then the team bus, to have words with Garnett. He was stopped by security guards both times. Garnett reportedly blew Anthony off outside the locker room, and Anthony said he called Garnett later to smooth the waters, saying he had just wanted to “talk it out.”
Words didn’t appear to be foremost on the two stars’ minds when the confrontation spilled out to the Celtics’ bus, however.
Check out the video below, and you be the judge of how close Anthony and Garnett were to starting a different kind of sporting event after the game.
