Bernard Pollard is one of the hardest hitters in the NFL, apparently he’s one of the toughest as well.
The Ravens safety — and Patriots killer — suffered six cracked ribs in the second week of the season. He reaggravated the injury against the Redskins on Jan. 9 and only missed the final three games of the season.
“It’s tough dealing with pain,” Pollard told the Baltimore Sun. “For us as football players, we know we’re going to go through it. At the same time, that’s the name of the game. Six of them, yep. Hey, it’s up to us to go out there and play and we did.”
Patriots fans wish Pollard had decided to sit out of the AFC Championship Game. Pollard delivered a concussion-causing blow to Stevan Ridley‘s head that forced a game-clinching fumble.
