Vote: Who Will Lead the Patriots in Receptions This Season?
Both Bill Belichick and Brian Kelly came up just short of their respective football championships this season, and it appears they’ll have some time to talk about it this week.
Belichick and Kelly were paired as part of a foursome, along with PGA Tour members Ricky Barnes and James Driscoll, at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am out in California from Thursday through Saturday.
The pair of top-notch coaches will surely exchange humorous stories, anecdotes and maybe even a little professional know-how while hitting the links. While Kelly may use the time to pick the brain of the three-time Super Bowl head coach, Belichick might be looking for some insight of his own.
Notre Dame boasted one of the most talented rosters in college football this season, and Belichick could be looking for a little insider trading on the likes of linebacker Manti Te’o, tight end Tyler Eiffert or even running back Cierre Wood — who are all projected as early-round picks.
Shop-talk or not, Belichick and Kelly will enjoy the sights, sounds and maybe even a few birdies throughout the week.
Celebrities and athletes make up the majority of the roster at the Pro-am this weekend, but Belichick and Kelly won’t be the only coaches out on the historic course either. San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh will be taking some hacks too, in an attempt to shake off his lingering Super Bowl hangover.
