Daisuke Matsuzaka and Terry Francona have reunited.
The Japanese righty agreed to a minor league deal with the Indians on Sunday, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports. Matsuzaka will be a non-roster invitee at Indians camp.
Dice-K had Tommy John surgery in June 2011. He returned to the mound for the Boston Red Sox on June 9, 2012. Matsuzaka started 11 games for the Red Sox last season and went 1-7 with an 8.28 ERA. His best season came in his second year in MLB when he had a 2.90 ERA, 18 wins and 154 strikeouts.
Matsuzaka will be joined on the Indians by Jason Giambi, who also signed a minor league deal on Friday.
