“We sucked.”
Those were just two of a bunch of pointed words John Tortorella had for his hockey club following the Rangers’ loss to the Sabres on Tuesday night. The New York head coach went off on one of his patented postgame rants yet again, as the Blueshirts dropped a 3-1 decision to Buffalo.
Tortorella unloaded on his team after the game, saying that he was “disgusted” with his team’s performance, while also noting that “we sucked when we couldn’t afford to suck.”
Interestingly, Tortorella wasn’t in the mood to give the Sabres much of any credit for taking his team down. Those are comments that probably won’t be forgotten the next time these two teams meet.
