Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron seems like he continues to just get better and better, and he’s certainly playing some of his best hockey in a while right now. He was rewarded for that Monday.
Bergeron was named the NHL’s Second Star of the Week for his performance this past week. Montreal’s Max Pacioretty, who played a vital role in the Canadiens’ win over the Bruins on Sunday night, was named the First Star.
Bergeron had arguably his best game of the season Sunday night against the Habs. The reigning Selke winner had a goal and two assists for the B’s, while winning 68.4 percent of his faceoffs. He’s riding a four-game point streak right now with 2-3-5 totals.
