Chicago Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane is never one to be shy putting on a show in front of the net.
Saturday night was no exception as the Hawks’ MVP hit the defense with a killer spin move in Chicago’s 8-1 rout of the Dallas Stars. In the video, Kane receives a wide open pass and proceeds to stun Dallas defenseman Brenden Dillon with a “spin-o-rama,” capped off with a backhanded shot directly into the net over goalie Richard Bachman’s shoulder. He makes it look easy. Effortless, even.
There seemed to be so much confusion and pandemonium after the goal, that the scorekeepers initially put it up as a Dallas goal. They eventually corrected it as Kane picked up his 15th goal of the season. Something can be said about the fact that Kane is still giving 100 percent effort at the end of a molly-whopping, but the fact remains that if he put any less effort forth, we would not have been privy to what could easily be the prettiest goal of the season.
Check out Kane’s stunner in the video below.
