Think the Boston Celtics’ season has been frustrating? Be thankful you’re not a basketball fan in Orlando.
The Magic head into the final week of the NBA regular season with a record of 23-57 — good for third-to-last place in the league standings — and suffered the ignominy Sunday of scoring on their own basket during a 97-88 loss to the Brooklyn Nets.
Dewayne Dedmon and Kyle O’Quinn were responsible for basketball’s version of an own goal, and credit for the bucket went to Mason Plumlee despite the fact that the Nets big man never touched the ball during the possession.
