Diego Fagundez marked his first goal in three months with a celebration for the ages.

After scoring the game-tying goal in the 41st minute of the New England Revolution’s 2-1 win over the Chicago Fire on Sunday, Fagundez, 19, jumped over the advertising boards and joined the Revs’ musket brigade for their traditional goal celebration.

The goal was Fagundez’s fifth of the season and first since May 24 — a drought which spanned 14 games.

Fagundez’s timely goal set the stage for New England’s comeback victory.

Goals and celebrations like these will ensure that Fagundez continues to lead the Revs’ charge up the Major League Soccer standings and into the hearts and minds of local sports fans.
