One of the few instances of impressive football fundamentals for Penn State on Saturday was a low-light for the Nittany Lions.
Penn State was the victim of an embarrassing 29-6 home loss to Northwestern, despite being a 10-point favorite at kickoff. However, nothing went right for the Nittany Lions who were dominated from the beginning.
Perhaps the most embarrassing play of the day came in the fourth quarter. Penn State was trailing by more than three touchdowns, so they decided to go for it on fourth down. They weren’t able to convert the desperation play. That’s probably because two of their offensive linemen were busy blocking each other.
On the bright side, it’s pretty impeccable form. It’s just that, you know, they play for the same team.
Somewhere, both the Florida Gators and Arizona State Sun Devils understand what these two are going through.
