Tom BradyRob Gronkowski has always been a wild man, according to the New England Patriots tight end’s local media.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady drew questions about Gronk, who grew up 15 minutes outside of Buffalo, from Bills reporters during a conference call Wednesday. The Buffalo reporters asked Brady if Gronk is “as nuts as he used to be.”

“He plays with great excitement,” Brady answered Wednesday. “He’s got a lot of energy, and he loves the game. Yeah, he hasn’t calmed down one bit, which I love.”

Gronkowski was removed from the Patriots injury report on Wednesday, which is good news as he continues to recover from offseason surgery to repair a torn ACL in his right knee. Gronk had his best game of the season on Sunday night, when he caught six passes for 100 yards and a touchdown.
