World Was Much Different Last Time Royals Made World Series (Photos)

The Royals defeated the St. Louis Cardinals in seven games in that Fall Classic for the first and only title in franchise history. Today, they find themselves back at the top of the American League for the first time since that championship season.

Just how long of a drought has it been for the Royals? Well, life was much different in 1985 (Hint: It wasn’t a good year for the Boston Celtics and New England Patriots). Let’s take a look back, shall we?
