You knew this was coming.

Michael Vick made his first start in over a year Sunday as he took over at quarterback for the New York Jets. He didn’t fare much better than Geno Smith, though, as the Jets fell 24-10 to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Vick took a hard hit that left him with an apparent head injury, but it wasn’t enough to keep him out of the game, as he eventually returned. It doesn’t sound like Vick will have any long-term issues, and he’s expected to start next week for the 1-8 Jets.

However, the New York Post didn’t let Vick’s head injury and another Jets loss go by without taking advantage, grabbing the low-hanging fruit with this back page headline Monday morning.

The headline is an obvious knock on Vick’s checkered past. The quarterback spent 18 months in federal prison, starting in 2008, after being convicted on dogfighting charges.
