NFL: Philadelphia Eagles at Houston TexansThe Philadelphia Eagles suffered a big loss during Sunday’s win against the Houston Texans.

Quarterback Nick Foles is out indefinitely with a broken collarbone, according to several reports. Although NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, citing a source, reports Foles will be out at least one month, the quarterback will undergo an MRI on Monday that will determine exactly how long he’ll be sidelined, Derrick Gunn of Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia added.

As ESPN’s Adam Schefter points out, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered the same injury last season and missed seven weeks as a result. With that timetable, Foles wouldn’t return until the team’s season finale in Week 17 against the New York Giants.

Foles was knocked out of the game on the last play of the first quarter with what was initially termed a left shoulder injury. He headed to the locker room for X-rays on his shoulder and collarbone after being sacked by Texans linebacker Whitney Mercilus and did not return to the game.

Mark Sanchez came on to replace the injured Foles, and looked impressive during his first regular-season appearance since 2012. Sanchez, who will fill in for Foles until he returns, completed 15-of-22 passes for 202 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in Philly’s 31-21 victory.
