Chandler Jones took another important step toward recovering from a hip injury.

The New England Patriots defensive end was limited Thursday in his second straight practice. Jones has been out since Week 6, when he injured his hip against the New York Jets.

The Patriots reportedly were optimistic that Jones would return for the postseason. It’s unclear if his appearance at practices changes that timetable.

Offensive linemen Cameron Fleming (ankle/finger), Dan Connolly (ankle) and Marcus Cannon (hip), long snapper Danny Aiken (concussion), defensive lineman Dominique Easley (knee), defensive back Nate Ebner (finger), wide receiver Brandon LaFell (shoulder), linebacker Chris White (ankle) and running back Shane Vereen (ankle) also were limited. White was added to the injury report Thursday.

Wide receiver Julian Edelman (thigh) and quarterback Tom Brady (ankle) were full participants in the Thanksgiving session.
