John Coyne has been working with the Boston Red Sox since 2002, maintaining all of Fenway Park’s signage around the ballpark.

His job requires him to climb parts of Fenway that most people wouldn’t dare ascend.

On Thursday, Coyne walked on a giant wreath hanging on the Green Monster and got a bird’s-eye view of Fenway.

Coyne was helping decorate the ballpark and help turn it into a winter wonderland in preparation for the 12th annual Christmas at Fenway event.

“I just love being at Fenway,” Coyne told MLB.com. “I’ve had some crazy gigs, but this has been sensational. I wouldn’t have believed this if you would have told me I’d be doing these things when I was younger.”

While fans sitting on top of the Green Monster can get a similar view, Coyne says that because he was on the wall and not on top of it, his was a little different experience.

“I’m sure I’m the first to be walking on the Green Monster like that,” Coyne said.
