Rob Gronkowski spikes footballs with reckless abandon, but he handles furniture with delicate care.
What, you might ask, is the New England Patriots tight end doing moving furniture before Sunday’s AFC Championship Game against the Indianapolis Colts? Don’t worry, he has a good reason.
Gronk recently teamed up with Eastern Bank and made a surprise appearance to help a moving company deliver a couch to a single mother in Lawrence, Mass. The result, as you might expect, was awesome.

The PFWA Comeback Player of the Year surprised College Bound Movers owner Edward Smith right off the bat when he showed up in a bright red shirt with the word “BOB” printed on it. Gronk then prompted quite the reaction from Carol Miranda, who dropped a swear word upon seeing the massive tight end at her doorstep.
Yet “Bob” wasn’t just there to look good. He helped the moving team assemble the couch and even tried to help one of Carol’s daughters with her homework (we’re guessing that didn’t go too well).
The full video definitely is worth a watch, as Gronkowski appears to make the day of pretty much everyone involved in the operation. Now if only he could get a couch like that for his party bus.
