Olympique Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda saves both shots on goal and reporters’ lives.
Mandanda caught a flying water bottle Friday during a postgame interview Friday, sparing the television reporter from a soaking or greater harm.
Marseille had just thumped Toulouse 6-1 in Ligue 1 (France’s first division) when a fan, reportedly of the thoroughly defeated home team, threw a full water bottle at Mandanda from the stands. Mandana nonchalantly caught the projectile and asked the reporter “Would you like some water?”, according to the Mail.
Eyes, hands and reflexes. Mandanda has got them all, and the reporter must be thankful.
